He's in franklin county, he's out and about but tries to avoid making a scene. He's very friendly and is happy to shake your hand and chat.
Yes
Yes
Nope. But I'll tell you how to find such a thing. Head back across the bridge, turn left and keep going for about 2000 miles.
The indoor/front is a normal restaurant, minors allowed. The out area were they have live music and such, has a cut off time for minors -- in my experience it has been 8 -- and I believe it may vary on the entertainment type.
NAH HE AINT BUT HE MITE BE WORKING ON IT MAAM
Yes, preferably on a leash
We sat at the bar. Had beers and wings. The wings were delicious! Not overcooked, juicy, nice sauce. Husband had the prime rib sandwich....omg! So yummy!
We love going to Harry A’s!! It’s a great atmosphere and awesome food! Laura was our server on two different occasions the week we were in town and was awesome! Best service we had and we went out every single night! And with a group of 11 - some people may get frustrated and overwhelmed... she did not! Joked and talked with us like friends and we will be back!! Thanks again for the great service!! Can’t wait to go back next time we are on the island!!
Fish tacos were blah...no flavor. A piece of fish in a soft tortilla with tomatoes and lettuce. Pricey beer and drinks, not worth it. Nothing to return to. Waitress was nice.
Wasn't sure how it would be but we took a change; the food was outstanding and the service was very friendly and on point! We tried baked oysters (a bit small but well made), cat fish (very tender and tasty) shrimp tacos (again tasty) and shrimp and cheese grits (very good) and I have to say the fried plantains were outstanding (ordered extra to take with us). I would definitely recommend and send friends to this place. Plus, have fun with the name...
Our first time here, liked it so much we went back the next time we were in town
Wow 🤩 this place has changed after the storm... Total New Remodel and food and service took a huge step forward.... Our waitress Laura was honest and refreshing... Fried Green Tomatoes were the bomb... Shrimp and Flounder top shelf... beer and drinks superb... we will be back...
Unfortunately was very disappointed with the quality of the food. We went to eat here while they had a revised menu, and quickly realized the food we ordered was not worth it. Overpriced and bland. You'd probably be better off at Blue Parrot.
Felt like an attempt at a dive bar, even though it wasn't. Food was amazing, atmosphere was great, band was awesome.
Great place. Super friendly staff. The dragon shrimp appetizer is awesome and blackened grouper was great.
Great food and service. The Dragon shrimp is a must try. It was so good we had to visit one more time before the trip home.
Was seated and waited 20 mins before leaving. No acknowledgement from our server. The place was not that busy for a Monday afternoon. Plenty of staff. I guess we looked like bad customers lol.
Fun spot out on St George. We’ve been here several times and not been disappointed. The bar is small but cozy. We ordered a bit of everything for NYE. My favorite was the étouffée. The dragon shrimp app was really good. The fried shrimp was good as well. They have a large outdoor area for live music. Dog friendly. Service was great.
The snapper was wonderful and fun atmosphere. Enjoyed the music!
I know they are short staffed but we waited over an hour for a table but then over another hour for our food once seated. The waitress seemed mad that we were frustrated and hungry. Two man band was awesome out back. Food was good once it came
The snapper was great and enjoyed the music. Thank you.
Fried green tomatoes, strawberry pecan salad, and mediteranea pasta....so delicious and tasty! First class server with a great big smile and fantastic attitude! Thanks for such a wonderful Tuesday evening has
The wait was roughly an hour long, food probably 20 minutes. The server was nice so was the staff; very clean but bathrooms need work. I had a burger that was supposed to be well done but was raw in middle. Myfries were semi soggy and a little cold. Overall it was okay, but not a good place for a cheap eat. Make sure to ask for the special of the day/week.
We’ve been coming here for multiple years, but are unimpressed this year after the storm remodel. It took us 2 hours to receive food and it wasn’t right even then. The servers were very apologetic and friendly but were over ran. Great place to drink and socialize but not the best for dinner.
1st time coming to this area. Started off good however your staff sat a family of 20+ in front of us. What was that about? Plus, their was a live band playing, which in turn MADE IT WORSE! The entire family was running around us, Standing in front of us, bumping us, NO consideration at all. The only thing your staff did was look at us. What the HELL was that about? Their was an open space across the patio for that 20+ family to sit at and they would not have bothered NO ONE! Your Staff Needs to familiarize their customers and where your customers need to be sitted. It's called CUSTOMER SERVICE! HORRIBLE!
The Blackened Snapper and Grouper Ruben are scrumptious but the fried plantains are stupid good. I'll be back.
What's not to love about Harry A's.. the food" I had the Shrimp Poboy" let me say they're not shy on the amount of shrimp!!Great staff, live music from some very talented artist, great location with a sunset.. don't take my word, you've got to see for yourself.. love Harry A's
Good fried shrimp. Good fried catfish. Hush puppies were ballin out of control.
Too noisy and not that many people for all the noise. Food wasn't hot..not my choice again..
The service wasn't very good. When the server heard they were getting another table, she seemed pretty upset. We were sat and several minutes later another table was sat. The server got the other table's drink order first brought out their drinks then came and got our order. We decided to order food at the same time.Water came out relatively quickly, the alcoholic beverages never arrived. We asked about them several times and we never received them. Apps came out at the same time as the meal. The burger wasn't very good. The onion straws on the burger were stale. Wings were decent, hush puppies were over cooked. Received sides we never asked for. By the, meals don't come with sides and you have to pay extra for them. Will try hard to never return.
Its a fun place while the bands are playing, but when they start playing the rap music and the loud obnoxious stuff, I leave.
The waitress was awesome, but the owner is very rude. Better make sure you dont sit on the patio if you have kids because if they accidentally drop food on the ground he will yell at you for the birds bothering everyone. And when you tell him to not tell at your kids because that is your place as a parent he makes sure to tell you it his place to yell at your kids.
I really wanted my experience with the reopened Harry A’s to be what I remembered from a couple years ago before the Hurricane but unfortunately, it was extremely disappointing. The server was friendly but unfamiliar with the new limited menu and kept telling us she would have to go check and see if what we wanted was available. I checked the menu online before going - definitely not the same as when we got there. Many things not on the menu and some that were listed we were told were not available. The food was subpar - steamed shrimp was overcooked - tasteless and tough. The grilled chicken on the salad was not freshly prepared and we were charged a higher price than what was stated on the menu. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt and say this was just an “off night” or maybe they are still working the bugs out after being closed for the pandemic, but I won’t return any time soon.
Harry A,s was recommended to us by friends that recently visited the Island. It did NOT disappoint. The atmosphere was great, the food outstanding! We dined there for dinner and returned for lunch the next day. Our server Laura was phenomenal!! VERY friendly and attentive. She always seemed to know when my husband needed yet another cup of coffee! She honored my special request (wink wink) the first night and remembered again the next day! We were thrilled to get her two days in a row. By the time we left she had us feeling like regulars. She is a definite asset to Harry's. We visit The Forgotten Coast each year and now Harry A's will be a MUST stop. Laura, we'll see you next time. THANK YOU, Steve 'n Debbie S.
